Dead in Space

"With all due respect, Captain." Pyro nearly spat out the last word in disgust. Then he marched off toward the beach where they had started.

OOC: *whistles*

Marvin remained silent during the whole walk, seething. Finally they arrived at the location.

Pyro nearly fell back from surprise... Everything, the crash, the pods, the men, everything, was gone. Picked out of the sand like a stone out of the water. There wasn't even a scrap of metal left lying in the sand from a destroyed pod. "What the-"

Zor' looked around, shocked, but not showing it on his face.

"Looks like there is more to this place than we thought." Pyro mused, he walked over to one of the dunes. "There's some tracks here, and I don't think they were made by Pirates."

"I don't like this very much. Where could they have gone? It looks like they just packed up and left. Or maybe they were teleported out of here."

"By what? A warship? No no, something else did this...."

Marvin couldn't think of anything good. "Maybe the Pirates rounded them up, I have no idea what could have happened to them."

"But there's no sign of a struggle..." Zor' said, he walked through the sand, and knelt on the ground, "Nothing..." He stood up, "We have to find them"

Pyro looked toward some rocks near the beach and ran over there. Just as he thought, there were tracks, and none of them Pirate.

OOC:I'm sure glad you guys make short posts. By the way, I'm back. *menacing music plays*

IC: Sor stood silently by as the others tried to discover what happened. Then, he spoke: "Well, we really need to get those pirates, but I'll be willing to help you guys find your crew. I mean, I don't really have anything left, so, you guys are basically my crew now. And that goes for them too," he said as he motioned toward the ground.

"Your crew huh?" Pyro started searching again. "I still have a few of those crew members that owe me some money." No one could mistake the worried tone in Pyro's voice as he followed the tracks off father into the sandy beach.

Marvivn made a show of rolling his eyes at Pyro's money line. Grinning, he kept looking in the sand. finally, they came to an abrupt halt and stopped. Just like that. "It looks like they just...were sucked up."

"Exactly, but that's what I don't understand. See here, there is a slight dip, where the foot was supposed to be. But here..." They looked, and there, half buried in the sand, was a pair of dog tags. "Oi vey..."

"Maybe it's some type of monster native to this planet. Of course, it would have to be really big....... And it would have to fly. Ok, forget that."

"No no, you may be on to something..." Pyro looked up toward the mountains. "Maybe the Pirate's were already here before we were."

"Well, it doesn't look like there's anything else here. Let's keep looking. I have a feeling that when we find your crew, we find my pirates," Sorick said as he walked off in the direction of the mountains.

Pyro shook his head. "Oi vey, this is gonna end badly..." But he had a smile on his face and followed Sorick.

Marvin trotted as fast as he could, whistling a little tune. Soon he was far ahead of the rest of the people. "Here we come, mountains!"

Apparently the mountains were a lot larger than they looked, and a lot father too. They had spent the rest of the day walking toward the mountains, but didn't seem to be any closer. When dusk came, Pyro stopped. "You guys think we should make camp for the night or keep going?"

Marvin said, "I think we should stop now. It's been a long long day." He siad that for the others. But he wasn't tired. He wanted to keep on going.

"We should keep going. Wherever these men may be, we have no idea how much time they have, especially if they've been captured by pirates," Sorick said. Then he looked at Zor',"But it's up to you, I guess."

Pyro gave Marvin a "You liar" kind of look. But he turned to Zor with his back to the mountains. "Your call Captain."

"Let's stay here for the night, get some rest. Then tomorrow we can be up early"
